This notion of clandestine communications lead to research into tete-a-tete/courting chairs, made for the secret whispers of lovers from the Victorian era.

south bank talk , sir tim berners-lee, creator of the world wide web
A discussion about the origins of the World Wide Web with its inventor, Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
25 years ago, he was inspired to create the World Wide Web while working as a software engineer at CERN, the large particle physics lab near Geneva.
By connecting millions of people through the Internet, he revolutionised how we work, play, share knowledge and communicate.
He is dedicated to enhancing and protecting the Web’s future, as the Founding Director of the World Wide Web Foundation and Director of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
At this event, Sir Tim Berners-Lee joins us to talk about the beginnings of the Web, and his work to ensure that it serves humanity by establishing it as a global public good and a basic right.
At the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, Sir Tim Berners-Lee tweeted, ‘This is for everyone’.

typed in : textile, rug, rug design etc...
as you can see… a bit of everything. why? so I opened a few out of curiosity
and there i read that the brooch was inspired by a rug. that's fine…
opened another wondering which hashtag would relate to my search
this one had the word rugged. not great
also also found the wonderful mickey mouse michael graves teapot. this object/collection's relation to my 'rug design' research is that Michael graves designed carpets. . I get it….
but can't explain why the wonderful picture by Pinky here below that came up in my search. unexpected good finds...
and I found a lot of these pages, not very helpful for an initial search
and went to the infamous GOOGLE images taking the lead from one of the V&A thumbnails
no worries, I did find A rug… but I think that I am going to go about this differently
